The Titans concluded practice on Thursday at Baptist Sports Park, and as was the case all week, running back Eddie George watched from the sidelines.
George continues to be hampered by the swelling in his injured ankle. The only work he’s seen all week has been some light running before practice with the training staff.
‘’I feel good,’’ George said. ‘’ My ankle still has a little bit of swelling in it, we didn’t want to aggravate it much further,’’.
‘’The medication they have me on should clear it up by Saturday, so I should be 100% and ready to go.’’
Head Coach Jeff Fisher shares George’s optimism.
‘’Its improving daily, he’ll play, it’s not a concern of ours,’’ Fisher said.
Quarterback Steve McNair took the majority of work in practice for the second straight day. It was the first time McNair had seen two consecutive days at the helm in a while.
‘’This is the first time in a long time where he’s had two good days of practice which is important to us,’’ Fisher said.
Running back Robert Holcombe’s hamstring allowed him back on the practice field for the third straight day, and he should be available on a limited basis, on Saturday.
The Titans will hold a brief walk through at Baptist Sports Park on Friday before heading to Foxboro.
