The Titans spent most of the day at Baptist Sports Park in meetings preparing for their practice under the lights at the Coliseum on Wednesday night.
‘’ I think the players are looking forward to it,’’ Head Coach Jeff Fisher said. ‘’It’s been a nice change for us, it gave them a chance to sleep in a little.’’
‘’A little change every now and then is good, helps them focus a little bit,’’
Fisher said they decided to hold the practice session under the lights to help the team get better acclimated to the conditions they will face Saturday night in New England.
‘’It’ll be a little cooler, and of course we’ll be playing under the lights, so it makes sense to practice under the lights at least once this week,’’ Fisher said.
Fisher said they normally hold all their practices outside, weather permitting, so the cold isn’t as much of a factor as it could be.
‘’We usually practice outside, I don’t believe we’ve been indoors more than twice, and that’s been because of weather,’’
‘’The cold is not a concern of ours, its never been a concern of ours,’’ Fisher said, ‘’The challenge from a preparation stand point is no different than it is from any other week.’’
Running Back Eddie George, who missed practice on Tuesday with soreness and swelling in his ankle and shoulder, will do running before practice, but its not know whether he’ll be able to participate in team drills or not.
Cornerback Samari Rolle continues to recover from the concussion he suffered against Baltimore. He worked out early in the day on Wednesday, and is expected back on the practice field as early as Wednesday night.
‘’He’ll definitely be back before the week is over, he may be able to get some work in tonight.’’
Quarterback Steve McNair will be on the practice held at the Coliseum, and Fisher says he’ll take the majority of the work during the session.
‘’Steve will practice, he should take his normal Thursday reps, which is probably between 60-70%.’’
