William Blount High School Senior Wins Titans Radio Scholar Award
Titans Radio Release January 7, 2004

Titans Radio and Edamerica will honor William Blount High School senior Craig Wojciechowski with the Edamerica Scholar Athlete Award Saturday January 10, when the Titans take on the New England Patriots.

The weekly award is designed to recognize an outstanding male or female student athlete who also excels in the classroom and in the community. A panel consisting of Titans Radio partners from across the mid south selected Wojciechowski for the award for his accomplishments in baseball, as well as his academic achievements.

Wojciechowski is known as a student athlete who goes about his sports and studies with great dedication. Wojciechowski is an All-Region, All-District and All-County left handed pitcher. He is also an active member of the Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Wojciechowski will be honored Saturday during Titans Radio’s Halftime Report as Mike Keith, Pat Ryan and Larry Stone present live coverage of the Titans and Patriots. Coverage begins at 6:00 pm central on WOKI FM 100.3, 103 WKDF partner in Knoxville.

In addition to receiving a plaque for the award, Wojciechowski becomes eligible for a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded at the end of the season.

This is the fourth season Titans Radio has recognized outstanding high school students during each game. Edamerica joins the network this year as sponsor of the program. A private, nonprofit corporation, Edamerica services student loans for eight of the top 100 lenders nationwide. Utilizing leading-edge technology and innovative systems, Edamerica streamlines the student loan process for students and families, as well as for schools and partner lenders.
