George Does Not Practice
Staff Report January 7, 2004

A sore left ankle kept Titans running back Eddie George off the practice field Tuesday.

George, who suffered a separated shoulder Saturday against the Ravens, has dealt with some ankle soreness at various times this season.

''It's not unusual for Eddie to have ankle soreness after something like that that would carry over for the next couple days,'' Head Coach Jeff Fisher said. ''We really don't anticipate that being a problem.''

Running back Robert Holcombe did practice Tuesday, after missing three games with a hamstring injury.

Quarterback Steve McNair should return to practice Wednesday, after missing time with a sore ankle and calf.
