Despite dislocating his shoulder tackling Ravens safety Ed Reed Saturday in Baltimore, Titans runningback Eddie George will be able to play this weekend.
''Eddie George had an MRI this morning,'' Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said in a press conference Sunday afternoon. ''There's not anything structurally wrong, which is good. He's actually very fortunate.''
George's injury came while making a tackle on Baltimore safety Ed Reed when Reed intercepted a pass from Titans quarterback Steve McNair in the second quarter. George made the tackle but landed hard on his shoulder and left the game for x-rays. George did return in the second half.
Although George's shoulder is not seriously hurt, Fisher said he and the Titans staff will approach this week cautiously.
''We'll probably shut him down for a couple of days and rest him,'' Fisher said. ''He'll be ready to go with a harness this weekend. I'll be surprised if he doesn't practice by the end of the week.''
Other minor injuries include a few offensive linemen.
''Ken Amato's got a slight hamstring strain and ankle sprain,'' Fisher said. ''We'll have to watch him. That could be a concern of ours. Ken's a tough guy, and I think he can fight his way back on the field and be able to snap for us.''
''Zach Pillar's got a chest contusion and a mild knee sprain.''
As for McNair, Fisher said the MVP quarterback escaped from the game with little injury.
''Steve was sore but he was really not too bad,'' Fisher said. ''His calf was just a little sore, but he didn't re-injure anything with the calf and the ankle. He had a little bit of swelling in the ankle. He seems to be OK, and I think he'll practice this week.''
