More Time On Practice Field For McNair
by David Reed Janurary 1, 2004

The Titans continued preparations for Baltimore on New Year’s Day at Baptist Sports Park.

Quarterback Steve McNair saw his most significant work in practice in over a month, working one complete offensive period.

Head Coach Jeff Fisher said it was the best work, and the best McNair has felt since the Atlanta game.

‘’Since the calf injury, this is as good as he’s felt,’’ Fisher said. ‘’He took one of the periods today and did well, he feels good’’

‘’He’ll warm-up, get loose and get his legs underneath him, and he’ll be fine’’

Fisher said he was pleased with the pace and tempo of this week’s practice, and felt his team is well prepared.

‘’They know what’s at stake here, they’ve had a great week,’’ Fisher said. ‘’We feel like if we go out there and play well, we can win the game,’’

Running back Robert Holcombe practice for the second straight day after missing the Tampa Bay game with a hamstring injury.

‘’ We thought he had a little set back yesterday, but he came back out practiced today, and it looks like he’s better than we expected’’.

Eddie Berlin continues to set out, suffering from post-concussion syndrome, both he and Holcombe are listed as questionable for Saturday’s game.

The Titans will wrapped up practice with a walk-through on Friday before leaving for Baltimore.
