Fox sports analyst Howie Long has awarded Titans quarterback Steve McNair his Strong Man Award for the 2003 season.
Long delivered the award in person to McNair after practice on Thursday. Teammates watched as Long made a short speech then had a brand new Ford F-150 driven onto the practice field and presented to McNair.
''That was fun,'' Tight end Frank Wycheck said. ''Everyone thought there was going to be a joke there for a while, but when Howie comes to town, he delivers.''
McNair, who has suffered from at least three different injuries this season, has still managed to throw for over 3,000 yards and received more Pro Bowl votes from fans this season than any other NFL player.
Wycheck said McNair's award is well earned.
''If there's a tough guy award, there's only one name you put on that list and that's Steve McNair,'' Wycheck said. ''He's well deserving of it.''
