With a Saturday playoff game taking up the Titans weekend plans, Wednesday's practice at Baptist Sports Park felt more like a Thursday.
Titans quarterback Steve McNair was expected to see full practice time in preparation for the first round playoff game in Baltimore.
Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said McNair's performance in practice continues to improve.
''The movement was there,'' Fisher said. ''He took the normal reps he would on a Thursday, and he did well.''
Last week Fisher and the rest of the Titans coaching staff kept McNair out of practice and out of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
McNair's time off allowed for some much needed rest, and Fisher said he can see the improvement as a result.
''He's two days into it now,'' Fisher said. ''He moved around pretty well yesterday, and today he did fine. He handled the run game, handled the pass game, and handled the play action passing game.''
Other injured Titans have also recovered.
''Tyrone practiced,'' Fisher said. ''Jordan Kramer practiced, and, of course, Steve practiced so we're healing up.''
Some Titans, however, have yet to beat the long term injuries.
''Eddie Berlin has still not practiced,'' Fisher said. ''He's still having difficulties with the concussion symptoms.''
''Rocky Calmus ran a little bit, but he's still a ways away.''
''Robert [Holcombe] did some things on the practice field but we shut him down. He was just a little sore and a little uncomfortable. Like we said, Holcombe will be a game time decision.''
