An old rivalry will be renewed when the Tennessee Titans visit the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. The game will pit the Titans number one rushing defense against the Ravens number one rushing offense.
Ravens running back Jamal Lewis, who ended the season with 2,066 rushing yards, said either the Ravens offense or Titans defense will have to give.
''It's going to be a great game,''Lewis said. ''The number one rushing offense against the number one rushing defense, it's going to be a good one. Somebody is going to have to give, and I hope it's not us.''
Lewis said playing at home will be an advantage for the Ravens.
''It's going to be great,'' Lewis said. ''We play well at home in front of our home crowd. I think the whole city will be pumped up. I think it works to our advantage.''
The Ravens have won the last five meetings with the Titans.
Even though both teams are no longer in the AFC Central Division anymore, Lewis said the rivalry is still there.
''It's a huge rivalry. It's going to be great to go back and play them again,''Lewis said. ''Luckily it's in the playoffs where everything really counts, and we can really have it out. I think they are going to be coming for us due to what happened a couple of years ago. Everybody is going to have to bring there best effort.''
Ravens head coach Brian Billick said the Ravens have confidence coming into Satuday's game, but they are not looking past them.
''We have a lot of confidence from the previous years,'' Billick said. ''We don't come in this game with a false sense of security simply because we've had a certain measure of success over the last five meetings.''
