Report: Heimerdinger Could Be Falcons Candidate
Staff Report December 30, 2003
Though he cannot be interviewed now because of NFL restrictions, Titans Offensive Coordinator Mike Heimerdinger could be a candidate for the head coaching job with the Falcons.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Heimerdinger's name has surfaced in replacing Dan Reeves. Heimerdinger has been Tennessee's offensive coordinator since 2000.
Rams defensive coordinator Lovie Smith and 49ers defensive coordinator Jim Mora, Jr. have already been interviewed for the job.
League rules prohibit a coach involved in a playoff game during a particular week from being interviewed.
