Ravens Head Coach Brian Billick has been preparing his team for this Saturday's Wild Card Playoff since late last week.
That’s when Billick passed out his team's detailed schedule for the rest of the season, a schedule that includes a trip to Houston.
''Well, since that's where the Super Bowl is, it would be ill-advised for it to be anywhere else,'' Billick said in his Monday press conference. ''I gave it to the players last week.''
Billick has long spoke of a ''conspiracy'' by the television networks to keep the Ravens off a national stage and said his revised schedule reflected that bias.
''I might note that it (the schedule) had us playing a Saturday playoff game,'' Billick said. ''I knew that was exactly how it was going to happen. It's good that my expertise and knowing the way we are regarded by the networks held up.''
The Ravens on-field preparations will get underway on Tuesday.
''Practice will be little more than meetings and walk throughs because we're on this accelerated schedule,'' Billick said.
