McNair Gets Rest, O'Donnell Will Start Against Tampa Bay
By Billy Byler December 28, 2003

Titans backup quarterback Neil O'Donnell will start Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Quarterback Steve McNair continues to nurse multiple injuries including a strained right calf, sprained ankle, and cracked bone spur.

Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said McNair is healthy enough to play, but the risk of losing McNair to further injury is too great.

Tennessee has already clinched a playoff spot and will rest McNair for postseason play.

McNair is listed as the number two quarterback for Sunday's game.
