Titans Radio and Edamerica will honor Sycamore High School senior Laughren Bauman with the Edamerica Scholar Athlete Award Sunday December 28, when the Titans take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The weekly award is designed to recognize an outstanding male or female student athlete who also excels in the classroom and in the community. A panel consisting of Titans Radio partners from across the mid south selected Bauman for the award for her accomplishments in cheerleading, as well as her academic achievements.
Bauman is known as a student athlete who goes about her sports and studies with great dedication. Bauman, is Student Body President of her senior class, an active member of the National Honors Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Beta Club, and 4-H Club.
Bauman will be honored Sunday during Titans Radio’s Halftime Report as Mike Keith, Pat Ryan and Larry Stone present live coverage of the Titans and Bucs. Coverage begins at 6:00am central on Titans Radio flagship station, 103 WKDF.
In addition to receiving a plaque for the award, Bauman becomes eligible for a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded at the end of the season.
