Fisher Hopeful To Get McNair In On Sunday
By David Knies December 22, 2003

Steve McNair fought through injury again and led the Titans to another last second victory Sunday against the Texans.

McNair missed his second straight week of practice prior to Sunday's game due to a sprained ankle he suffered versus Indianapolis.

On Monday Head Coach Jeff Fisher said McNair did not experience any set backs in the game Sunday.

''Steve is sore, but he is no worse than he was last week at this time,'' Fisher said.

Fisher said that it is still too early to know how much McNair would be able to go in practice this week.

''I dont know right now, we're gonna have to see how he is,'' Fisher said. ''He will not be doing an awful a lot on Wednesday. Thursday would be the first big practice day for the club.''

As far as playing Sunday, Fisher said he wants to get back-up Neil O'Donnell some reps, but wants to play McNair if he is healthy.

''If Steve can play as good as he was yesterday, then he will play,'' Fisher said.
