The Titans clinced a playoff spot on Sunday and won in the final seconds scoring a touchdown with 17 seconds left.
Quarterback Steve McNair found Drew Bennett in the corner of the end zone for 23 yard touchdown on fourth down.
''They played us one-on-one the last three snaps and gave us a chance to win,'' Offensive Coordinator Mike Heimerdinger said.
McNair, who sat out practice during the week, finished the game 17-36 for 268 yards and two touchdown passes.
''Anytime you've got Steve McNair and you got to go the length of the field to score in a two minute situation nobody on our sideline panics,'' Heimerdinger said.
The stats don't really tell the story for McNair. Had there not been several drops by the receivers, his numbers may have looked a lot better.
''If we catch the ball, he might have thrown for 400 yards again this week,'' Heimerdinger said.
The running game was also a key factor in the Titans 27-24 victory.
The Titans rushed for a season high 181 yards against the Texans.
Eddie George rushed for 79 yards on 19 carries and Chris Brown added 69 yards on 10 rushes.
''Both guys ran real well,'' Heimerdinger said. ''Our line did a good job. I think we did a good job of blocking and we did a good job of scheming.''
