Titans Owner Bud Adams said he has yet to make a decision on whether Titans President Jeff Diamond will stay on past this season.
Diamond's one-year contract expires February 1. He joined the organization prior to the 1999 season.
''I don't know right now,'' Adams told the Tennessean. ''We'll see how this year ends up and I'll sit down at the end of the season and decide what we're going to do. That's all I'm really going to say about that right now.''
Adams had considered bringing former Oilers quarterback Oliver Luck into the organization earlier this fall, but Luck had a change of heart.
The Diamond decision will be just one of several tough tasks faced by Adams this off-season. The Titans are at least $15 million over the salary cap.
''We know it's going to be difficult, but we're going to sit down and see if we can make the necessary adjustments,'' Adams said. ''But I do think this will be the hardest year for us since they put the cap into place. We're going to be way over the cap, we know that. So there might be some changes, but we're going to do what we can to keep things going.''
Adams told the Tennessean his focus now is on the end of this season and a possible Super Bowl in Houston.
''To be one of the contestants in the Super Bowl here … I don't know if I could describe it really,'' Adams told the Tennessean.
