Five Titans will undergo surgeries during the next week.
The most serious surgery will take place next week on rookie Jacob Bell's knee. Bell tore his ACL against the Broncos Christmas night. His rehab will begin immediately, but it may be August before he can return to practice.
The Titans considered trying Bell at tackle during one of the final regular season games -- to see if he might be a potential player at the position.
''Hypothetically, if we were going to have Jacob move out there, it would be difficult for us to count on him at the beginning of the season,'' Head Coach Jeff Fisher said. ''He may very well be able to play the tackle, but we have to wait and make sure he heals up from this.''
Bell will also have surgery on his shoulder.
Running back Chris Brown will undergo scopes on both of his ankles, procedures that Fisher termed ''minor.''
''Just typical of the things at the end of the season,'' Fisher said. ''They're not going to do any work on the toe.''
Brown missed the last three games of the season with turf toe. The ankle surgeries are unrelated. Fisher said doctors told him Brown could probably walk out of the hospital after the surgery.
Doctors will perform surgery on tackle Fred Miller's ankle in the next week, the same ankle he's been dealing with since mid-season.
Center Justin Hartiwg will have surgery on his ankle and shoulder. Defensive end Carlos Hall will have two fingers repaired.
Fisher visited with quarterback Steve McNair Monday morning. He said McNair feels ''pretty well'' followng last week's sternum surgery, but Fisher said McNair is looking forward to going to Mississippi for rest.
Overall, Fisher said the training room will be busy over the next several months.
''They're working hard there,'' Fisher said. ''Our immediate goal is to get them out of there, to get them back to health.''
The Titans' organized workouts begin in March. On-field activities start in April.
