During the first half of Tennessee's season finale against Detroit both linebacker Keith Bulluck and wide receiver Drew Bennett set records before heading to the locker room; while wide receiver Derrick Mason and tight end Ben Troupe stepped up in the second half.
Bulluck set a career-high five sacks after forcing Lions quarterback Joey Harrington to fumble.
Bulluck was in good position to recover the fumble and return the ball 39 yards to give the Titans their first touchdown of the game.
While on the offensive side of the ball, Bennett scored the 18th touchdown of his career and his 11th touchdown of the season, the most in franchise history since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger.
Bennett entered the endzone after a 32-yard pass from quarterback Billy Volek to put the Titans up 14-10 at the end of the second quarter.
The previous record was ten touchdowns held by Drew Hill in 1988 and again by Ernest Givins in 1992.
During the third quarter wide receiver Derrick Mason tied his 2003 career high with 95 receptions.
Mason joined Haywood Jeffires as the second receiver in franchise history to post 90 or more receptions in consecutive seasons.
Jeffires posted 100 receptions in 1991 and 90 in 1992.
Tight end Ben Troupe broke two franchise records during Tennessee's final game of the season. Troupe surpassed the previous record for number of receptions by a rookie tight end and also passed the previous record for receiving yards.
The previous mark was set in 1983 by Chris Dressel with 32 receptions and 316 receiving yards.
