Kats To Hold Full Open House January 8
Staff Report December 31, 2004

The Nashville Kats will give fans their first opportunity to meet the entire team when they hold their second Open House at the Gaylord Entertainment Center on Saturday, January 8 from 1-5 p.m.

The Open House will be held in conjunction with the Kats’ first full scrimmage of training camp, which begins on Monday. In addition to watching the scrimmage, fans will also be able to meet and get autographs from the players, coaches and dance team, as well as buy merchandise and choose the seats they want to sit in at Kats games when the season begins in a few weeks.

Players will report for training camp over the weekend with the team hitting the practice field for the first time on Monday. The team will carry 37 players (the maximum allowed by AFL rules) into training camp, but must cut the roster down to 24 by January 22.

Doors to the Gaylord Entertainment Center open at 1 p.m., and fans will have the opportunity to take part in all of the activities and consult with Kats ticket representatives throughout the afternoon until 5 p.m.

The Nashville Kats begin play in the Arena Football League’s Central Division on January 28, in the season opener at Columbus.
