Hopkins Returns For Christmas Night Matchup
By Jennifer Cissell December 22, 2004

Offensively Tennessee has spent the season trying to recover from injuries.

Big man after big man continued to fall. Quarterback Steve McNair, tight end Erron Kinney, running back Chris Brown, and tackle Brad Hopkins- just to name a few- have suffered injuries resulting in missed games and ultimately Titans losses.

However, this week Hopkins returned to practice, with a hard, blue cast protecting his right hand, which was broken during Tennessee's loss to Chicago in November.

''I'm not that worried about hitting it and re-injuring it,'' Hopkins said. ''It’s really just making an adjustment of hand placement.''

With the recent news of McNair and Brown out for the remainder of the season, and the Titans 4-10 record, Hopkins continues to feel confident about taking on the Broncos Christmas night.

''We're all competitors, we all have goals and we all don't want to let our teammates down,'' Hopkins said. ''We haven't been doing as well in the win/lose column this year but that doesn't take any of the fight out of the guys in this locker room.''

''I haven't missed a beat. I took all the reps today and we'll just see how it goes come game time.''
