With no Titans heading to the Pro Bowl for the second time in three seasons, Head Coach Jeff Fisher expressed disappointment but also said he is pleased that six Titans were honored as alternates.
Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck, receivers Drew Bennett and Derrick Mason, punter Craig Hentrich, tackle Brad Hopkins and defensive tackle Kevin Carter all were named alternates.
''We felt like we had some players that had Pro Bowl seasons,'' Fisher said. ''It's one of those things that happens. I'll remind you (that in 2002) when we went to the (AFC) Championship game we didn't have anybody in the Pro Bowl either.''
Fisher said the roster decisions didn't surprise him.
''It's typical,'' Fisher said. ''I think if the record were flipped then maybe things would have been different but we did have a number of alternates which is encouraging.''
Fisher said the Titans will use the Pro Bowl snubs as extra motivation.
''You can't cry over spilled milk, you just go on,'' Fisher said. ''They're going to be highly motivated to play, especially the ones that felt like they were deserving of an opportunity.''
