No Titans To Pro Bowl
Staff Report December 22, 2004

For the second time in three years, no Titans made the AFC Pro Bowl roster.

Linebacker Keith Bulluck finished first in fan voting at his position, but did not get the support needed from players and coaches to make the team. Bulluck finished as an alternate in the final voting released Wednesday.

''I'm not really surprised (because) I'm on a 4-10 team,'' Bulluck said. ''I know how things go in this league, I think I have been here long enough to know.''

''The competitor in me is disappointed, but as a person, I'm just a realist. I'm sure there are guys who put together great seasons on winning teams but that doesn't mean they are any better than me.''

Cleveland also did not have a player named to the starting roster.

The Pro Bowl teams are made up of the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group's vote counts one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters.

Bulluck won the fans' balloting at outside linebacker but did not garner the same support from the players and coaches.

''I'd like to thank all the fans out there, I appreciate it,'' Bulluck said. ''(Not getting votes from players and coaches) just means I have to really step my game up. I guess next year is the year where I separate myself from any other linebacker in this league.''

Titans linebacker Robert Reynolds felt Bulluck should have been invited to Hawaii.

''It's pretty disappointing (that Bulluck wasn't chosen),'' Reynolds said. ''I've seen a bunch of linebackers play this year and I don't think there are any as good as Keith is, athletically and just knowing the knowledge of the game.''

The starters for the annual all-star game, to be played February 13 in Honolulu, will be announced during one of the halftimes of the wild card games to air on ABC on January 8.
