Brown To Receive Another Opinion On Toe
By Randall Thomason December 16, 2004

Titans running back Chris Brown will seek an additional opinion on how best to treat his continued turf toe injury.

Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said the team will send Brown to Dr. James Andrews, a well known physician in Birmingham who has worked with numerous college and professional athletes.

''We're going to send Chris Brown to see Dr. Andrews tomorrow just to have him look at the toe,'' Fisher said. ''We just want to make sure that we're doing the right things and that we're not going to subject him to further injury or (put him at additional risk).''

Fisher said Brown's visit to Andrews will not affect his status for Sunday's game at Oakland; Brown remains questionable for action but Fisher acknowledged there is a good chance Brown will play.

Fisher said tight end Erron Kinney also continues to struggle with an ankle sprain.

''(Kinney's ankle) is sore,'' Fisher said. ''He's got a great deal of swelling, until you get that swelling down it's going to be sore.''
