The NFL named Titans defensive tackle Kevin Carter a finalist for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
One player from each of the 32 NFL teams is nominated for the honor.
Carter was recently named the Tennessee Titans Community Man of the Year for the third consecutive year.
The Walter Payton award recognizes a player for their off-the-field community service as well as playing excellence.
The Walter Payton Man of the Year award has been given annually since 1970. The NFL renamed the award in 1999 for the legendary Chicago Bears Pro Football Hall of Fame running back.
The winner receives $25,000 to donate to his selected charity. Each finalist will receive a $1,000 contribution towards a charity of his choice.
The winner will be announced Feb.4 in Jacksonville.
