Calmus Set To Undergo Surgery Next Week
Staff Report December 10, 2004

Linebacker Rocky Calmus will undergo surgery on his left hamstring next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Calmus went down with the injury during Tennessee's loss at Indianaplois. Doctors originally thought he would not need surgery, but further tests revealed a more serious injury.

Calmus' season comes to an end after seeing action in just four games. Calmus missed the first part of the season with a back and nerve problem.

''If you are saying I am labeled injury prone, I really don't think I am,'' Calmus told the Tennessean. ''I think I have just had a bad streak. All through high school and college I really never missed a game, but this season I've had injuries I just can't control.''
