Titans Agree To Terms With Faggins
By Jonathan Hutton April 1, 2009
The Titans have agreed to terms on a two-year deal with former Texans cornerback DeMarcus Faggins, agent Robb Nelson confirmed.
Faggins just finished his seventh NFL season with the Houston Texans. Houston orginally drafted the 5-10, 179-pound cornerback out of Kansas State in the sixth round of the 2002 draft. Faggins has recorded five career interceptions, the last one coming in 2006 when he started 10 games.
Faggins chose the Titans over the Miami Dolphins.
''We think it's a good fit for him to come in as the third corner and challenge for significant playing time there,'' Nelson told The Tennessean. "It was a tough decision between there and just felt like Tennessee was the better fit.''
Tennessee has worked to fill depth behind starters Cortland Finnegan and Nick Harper following the departure of Chris Carr and Eric King in free agency.
