Britt With Great Debut, X-Ray On Ankle

By Zach Bingham August 15, 2009

First round draft pick Kenny Britt couldn't have asked for a better debut as the rookie caught five passes for 89 yards and a score.

Quarterback Vince Young stepped up in the pocket on a third and ten to hook up with Britt for a 37 yard touchdown notching his first points as a pro.

As Britt hauled in a seven yard pass for his final reception of the night, the young receiver came up limping favoring his right foot.

Once the third quarter came to a close, Britt was escorted to the Titans locker room for X-Rays on his right ankle diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.

Head coach Jeff Fisher said he is optimistic about Britt's injury and he will be fine.

Tennessee selected the 6-3 218 pound wide out with the 30th overall pick in the 2009 Draft out of Rutgers.
