Munchak A Finalist for Hall of Fame

Titans offensive lineman Mike Munchak was named Thursday one of 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2000.

The former Oilers' great retired in 1994, following nine pro bowl selections. He joins first-year eligibile players Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott of the 49ers as finalists. Other finalists include Giants LB Harry Carson, Raiders & Oilers tight end Dave Casper, Raiders DE Howie Long, Vikings DE Carl Eller, Packers wide receiver James Lofton, former Steelers Lynn Swann and John Stallworth, 49ers LB Dave Wilcox, Rams DE Jack Youngblood, and Vikings IT Ron Yary. Also nominated: Bills coach Marv Levy and Steelers' owner Dan Rooney.

At least four but not more than seven inductees will be selected January 29th.
