As expected, the Associated Press named Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse its defensive rookie of the year Tuesday. The 16th selection in last April's draft ended the season with a rookie-record 14.5 sacks. Kearse also had 18 pressures and 10 forced fumbles. 'I didn't expect the moves I had to be so successful,' Kearse said. 'I kind of expected them to play me for my speed move a lot. I've come up with a lot more.'
Kearse received all but one of the 50 votes cast. Washington's Champ Bailey took the last vote.
