What the Experts Say: Bills v. Titans

With just days until the Titans and Bills square off in Saturday's AFC wild card game, the NFL analysts believe the winner may prove to be the AFC's best.

ESPN's Merill Hoge says the switch to Rob Johnson at quarterback will provide Gregg Williams' defense with a different challenge.

'He brings a downfield passing game that the Bills don't have when Flutie is playing,' Hoge wrote at ESPN.Com. 'I like the Titans in this one. They're playing their best football at the right time.'

Pro Football Weekly's Robert Neely said the Titans' fans will make the difference.

'The Bills haven’t gotten enough credit this season for their solid all-around play,' Neely wrote at ProFootballWeekly.Com. 'But the Titans are playing as well as anyone in the league right now. The home-field advantage will be too much for Buffalo to overcome.'

'The Bills could upset the Titans,' writes ESPN's Tom Jackson. 'They finished strong and worked on their ground game in a 31-6 rout of the Colts.'

Longtime NFL forecaster Bob Harmon predicts the Titans will win by 10, 27-17.

Sports Illustrated's Peter King said the Titans, Colts or Jaguars could win the AFC.

'But Tennessee will have it very, very hard,' King wrote at CNNSI.Com. 'To make it to the Super Bowl, the Titans will likely have to win at Indianapolis and Jacksonville within a span of eight days. Tough duty.'
