Probable for Sunday
Titans Heading to the Playoffs

The Tennessee Titans clinched their first playoff berth since 1993 on Sunday with their 30-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Jeff Fisher talked of the big victory at his weekly press conference on Monday.

'Yesterday's win over the Falcons was a very big win for this organization.' said Fisher. 'It allowed us to clinch our first playoff berth in a number of years. Being able to do that after 14 weeks considering where the league stands is a good thing.'

Fisher knows his team must continue focusing for the remaining two games.

'Success is a series of accomplishments, and it's something that is pursued. We have to continue on now,' said Fisher.

The playoff berth reaches the Titans first goal. Now, they must zero in on the next one.

'The next thing on our agenda is to play for home field advantage. As things appear, we need to win another game, said Fisher. 'I couldn't thing of a better challenge than what we have coming up this week with Jacksonville.'

'They are the team to beat. They're playing well, said Fisher. We've got our work cut out for us.'

Tennessee won the first meeting between these two clubs on a rain-soaked field in Jacksonville 20-19. That game remains the only Jaguars loss this season. Incidentally, the Titans stand as the only team with a winning record the Jaguars have faced all season.

The Titans should be near full strength on the injury front heading into Sunday's AFC Central showdown. Blaine Bishop sat out most of Sunday's contest due movement of a pin in his thumb. He felt a lot better Monday.

'They (team trainers) have removed one of the pins this morning, and he noticed some immediate relief,' said Fisher. He'll be re-casted for the game, and he'll play with just one pin in the thumb.'

Fisher also commented on the status of wide receiver Yancey Thigpen who has missed several games with a sprained ankle.

'We've rested Yancey since Friday. We won't do anything with him until Wednesday. So there is a good chance,' Fisher said. 'That will also be the case with Josh Evans.'
