George and 7 Other Titans
Will Head to the Pro
Bowl
Players Leave Baptist Sports Park

With the admonition from Jeff Fisher to getaway from football, the Titans packed their lockers and left the Baptist Sports Park Monday with the memories of what could have been still strong.

'Once you get that taste in your mouth for the Super Bowl, everything else is horrible,' defensive lineman Kenny Holmes told the Tennessean. 'This is a horrible season for us.'

'Just because we didn’t make it to the Super Bowl doesn’t mean we weren’t better than we were last year,' quarterback Steve McNair said. 'Still, it's tough.'

Eight Titans will be headed to the Pro Bowl in early Feburary and McNair is expected to be a ninth. Denver quarterback Brian Griese most likely will not participate electing, instead, for surgery.

Head coach Jeff Fisher said several Titans will undergo surgeries in the next several weeks, including Jason Fisk on his ankle, Benji Olson and Bruce Matthews on elbows, and Mike Leach on his knee.

Tennessee's off-season program begins in March.
