LB Ray Lewis & Ravens
Defense Stifled Broncos
Ravens Win; Head To Nashville Next Sunday

The stifling Ravens defense and a Broncos offense that never got in any type of rhythm combined Sunday to send Baltimore to a 21-3 wild card win over the Broncos.

The Ravens come to Nashville Sunday for a third meeting of the season with the Titans. Kickoff is set for 11:30a (cst) with airtime on Titans Radio at 8:30a (cst).

Quarterback Gus Ferrotte, starting in place of the injured Brian Griese, could never get the Broncos offense on track. Denver came out throwing the ball, but a stiff wind made it difficult to get the ball down the field. Broncos running back Mike Anderson ran for just 40 yards in the game.

The Ravens offense came up with two big plays that put the game out of reach. Ravens quarterback Trent Dilfer hit Shannon Sharpe on a 58-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-3. Then, in the third quarter, running back Jamal Lewis scored on a 27-yard run. Lewis finished the game with 30 carries on 110 yards.

Baltimore is the only team to beat the Titans in Nashville during the last two regular seasons, winning 24-23 in November. The Titans downed the Ravens 14-6 in the first matchup at PSI Net Stadium.
