Bengals Coach Dick
LeBeau Looking For
Offensive Coordinator
Titans' Smith A Candidate In Cincinnati?

Titans running backs coach Sherman Smith could be a candidate for the Bengals offensive coordinator position, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Bengals coach Dick LeBeau has named former Steelers, Oilers and Jaguars coordinator Kevin Gilbride as a candidate. Gilbride will like come to Cincinnati for a meeting next week.

The Enquirer suggests Smith, Detroit quarterback coach Jim Zorn, and Philadelphia wide receivers coach David Culley are coaches 'who will get their chance to be an NFL coordinator sooner rather than later.'

Smith, a former running back with the Seattle Seahawks, has been with the Titans since 1995.

LeBeau cannot talk with an employed assistant coach until January 9.

“Many of the coaches on my priority list are either in playoffs or bowl games,” LeBeau told the Enquirer.

The Bengals demoted offensive coordinator Ken Anderson to quarterbacks coach earlier this week.
