The Tennessean is reporting that the NFL will name Titans all-pro running back Eddie George as the AFC Offensive Player Of The Week on Wednesday. George rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries in the Titans’ 24-0 win over the Cleveland Browns this past Sunday. George also was one five players nominated yesterday for NFL.com’s All-Heart Player of Week, a weekly award voted on by fans. Voting at NFL.com concludes at noon Thursday. Buccaneers running back Warrick Dunn, Patriots defensive tackle Chad Eaton, Seahawks quarterback Jon Kitna and 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice are the other nominees.
