AFC Central Roundup: Soward Causing Problems In Jacksonville, No More Surprises From Northcutt
Soward Causing Problems In Jacksonville
Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach Tom Coughlin has had to deal with several problems this season. The latest is the conduct of rookie wide receiver R. Jay Soward.
Soward was suspended for Sunday's game against the Cardinals for showing up late to a team meeting. Coughlin and Soward talked over the problem Monday.
Now the question is whether Soward will stay with the team next year or go elsewhere.
'It will be up to R. Jay,' Coughlin said. 'We'll lay it out for him. He'll have to look at it from a standpoint that he has to abide by certain things or the opportunity's not going to be there for him.'
The suspension was the last straw for Coughlin after several other problems he has had with Soward this season.

No More Suprises From Northcutt
Cleveland Browns' wide receiver Dennis Northcutt wore many hats last week in the team's 35-24 loss to the Eagles.
Northcutt, a rookie, took snaps in the game in an attempt to throw off the Eagles defense, and believe it or not it worked.
Although the team lost, they put up their highest point total of the year.
'There was a very good possibility I would have used him in the same role [against Tennessee],' Palmer said,
It remains to be seen if another wide receiver will pick up where Northcutt left off, but wide receiver Kevin Johnson is listed as the teams number three quarterback.

Lewis' 1,186 yards is second among rookies to Denver's Mike Anderson who currently has 1,353.
