With one week left to go in the 2001 season, the Titans continue to remain in the top half of the AFC's offensive leaders while hovering near the bottom of the defensive.
The Titans are fifth in the AFC in total offense (9th in the NFL), averaging close to 335 yards per game. They are fifth passing the ball (237.3) and seventh running the ball (115.8). The Titans have completed 42.1 percent of their third-down attempts, good for second best in the AFC behind only Pittsburgh.
Tennessee stands at a -5 turnover ratio.
Defensively, the Titans are 15th in the league (24th in the NFL), giving up on average 338.6 yards per game. They are 3rd against the rush, but last against the pass.
Quarterback Steve McNair is 6th in the AFC and running back Eddie George is 9th. Defensive end Jevon Kearse is eighth in the AFC in sacks.
