
McCallie's Potter Honored As Coach Of Year

The Titans and the NFL Monday named Chattanooga McCallie football coach Ralph Potter the Titans 2001 High School Coach of the Year.
Potter led McCallie to a state title by beating Brentwood Academy 17-16. The Blue Tornado finished 12-0 on the season.
'High school football coaches do more than support youth football,' NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue said. 'They help shape young minds and develop leaders of tomorrow.'
The McCallie football program will receive a $1,000 donation from the NFL and the Titans Foundation.
