Mitchell May Need More Knee Surgery
Staff Report December 28, 2001

Cornerback Donald Mitchell may need more arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Mitchell suffered an ACL injury that ended his 2000 season during training camp. He's been dealing with lingering problems with the knee, then reinjured the knee December 2 at Cleveland.

The Tennessean reports doctors are now trying to decide whether to perform surgery on Mitchell's knee.

''People always told me the year after surgery is going to be the hardest year for you coming back because you are going to have a lot of things that's going to bother you,'' Mitchell told the Tennessean. 'But I have been rehabbing strong and I didn't want to believe it. Eventually it caught up to me at the end of the season.'
