The Titans reached the .500 mark for the first time this season, after their 13-10 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Saturday night. With two games remaining, Tennessee continues to improve its offensive statistics while hovering close to the bottom defensively.
Offensively, the Titans are fifth in total offense (10th in the NFL), averaging 326.5 yards per game. They are ninth at running the football, and fifth passing the ball. The Titans have completed 41.6 percent of their third down attempts, good for third best in the AFC.
Tennessee stands at a -4 turnover ratio.
The Titans fair much worse on the defensive side of the ball. They are 14th in the AFC in total defense (23rd in the NFL), giving up on average 333.6 yards per game. They are an impressive third against the run, but next to last against the pass.
Quarterback Steve McNair is sixth in the AFC, while running back Eddie George is 10th. Defensive end Jevon Kearse is fifth in the AFC in sacks.
