Kroger And The Titans Partners For Charity Cookbook
Staff Report December 16, 2001
Kroger and the Tennessee Titans have teamed up to produce a cookbook, 'Championship Flavors--Winning Recipes From The Kroger-Titans Team'.
Proceeds from the cookbook will go to Second Harvest Food Bank and charities selected by the Tennessee Titans Women's Association and the Titans Foundation.
Kelly Hopkins, wife of Titans offensive lineman Brad Hopkins, says the cookbook is a wonderful opportunity for the Titans' wives to get involved in the community.
'We like to be involved in the community and show that we do want to make a difference,' Hopkins said. 'We do care about what's going on in Nashville and the surrounding areas.'
Each chapter is devoted to a specific sports theme with unique recipes, never before seen photos of the Titans and their families, Titans family traditions, and cooking, health and nutrition tips.
Bud and Nancy Adams, Juli and Jeff Fisher, Miriam and Jason Fisk, Cherryn and Frank Wycheck, Kellie and Brad Hopkins, and Chris and Stacie Sanders are just a few of the Titans who have contributed recipes to the cookbook.
''Championship Flavors' will provide a first-hand look at what is being served at the homes of our players, coaches, and staff members,' Titans owner Bud Adams said.
Kroger spokesperson, Melissa Eads, says the cookbooks are ideal for anyone who is a fan of the Tennessee Titans and good food.
'The cookbook will make an excellent holiday gift for Titans' fans while helping the community,' Eads said.
