Staff Report December 14, 2001 The NFL fined Titans left tackle Brad Hopkins $15,000 Thursday for his block on Vikings defensive tackle Willie Howard last week. Howard tore his ACL, fractured his fibula and sprained his MCL on the play. ''I'm basically missing my last five weeks and he's still rolling just because I beat him,'' Howard said. ''It was basically a clip and it was illegal and he knows it.''
Hopkins told the Tennessean he would appeal the fine.
