McNair Throws At Practice
Staff Report November 6, 2001
Titans quarterback Steve McNair did not practice Thursday, but he did throw on the side.
“Steve’s elbow is still sore, he did throw, but did nothing else in practice,' Head Coach Jeff Fisher said.
McNair injured his arm in Sunday's loss to Cleveland when a Brown defender stepped on him.
Offensive lineman Brad Hopkins practiced Thursday, and Fisher said he was pleased with what he saw.
“We came out in pads and wanted to see how he would do and it looked like Brad did fine,' Fisher said.
Safety Blaine Bishop practiced for the second day in a row, as he looks to return from a foot injury.
“This is the first time Blaine has gone back to back days in practice,' Fisher said. 'It does not mean he is any closer to playing this week, but at least the foot is getting better.”
Cornerbacks Donald Mitchell and DeRon Jenkins both sat out practice but Fisher said they will be a gametime decision.
Offensive lineman Benji Olson sustained a mild concussion Thursday. Fisher said it did not appear to be severe.
