Raiders' Williams Doubtful, Cornerback Woodson Sore
By Larry Stone January 17, 2003
Oakland: Despite his efforts to get back on the field for Sunday's AFC Championship, Raiders tight end Roland Williams remains doubtful with torn knee and toe ligaments.
''A little instability, a little pain,'' Williams said. ''I'll just keep on working at it. Right now, I'll just refrain from giving the percentages (for him playing) because I might have a breakthrough.''
Raiders Coach Bill Callahan said Williams did participate in individual drills Thursday. The tight end finished the regular season with 27 catches for 213 yards.
Meantime, cornerback Charles Woodson returned to practice Thursday after doing only individual work Wednesday. Callahan said Woodson remained sore after his return Sunday from a broken leg.
