Wycheck Named NFL Offensive Player Of The Week
Staff Report January 15, 2003
After catching 10 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown Saturday night against the Steelers, Titans tight end Frank Wycheck earned NFL Offensive Player of the Week honors.
''I just went into the game knowing that we were going to spread them out a little bit and I had to be productive,'' Wycheck told NFL.com. ''I was able to get some touches early and get some confidence. On a couple of the breakdowns, I was able to get behind the defenders and Steve was able to find me.''
Wycheck's 123 yards receiving were a career high, and his 10 catches matched a personal best.
Other division playoff award winners were Philadelphia cornerback Bobby Taylor, and Oakland Raider special team star Tim Johnson.
