Titans Have A Light Workout On Monday
By Levi Woodroof January 13, 2002

The Titans had a light 30-minute workout Monday at Baptist Sports Park as they start preparations for the Oakland Raiders.

Head coach Jeff Fisher said an injury report would not be released until Wednesday, but quarterback Steve McNair would not have been able to practice Monday.

''He would have not been able to throw today,'' Fisher said. ''He has it wrapped up and we are just trying to compress the swelling right now.''

Fisher did say that running back Eddie George appears to be fine after suffering a concussion early in the third quarter of last Saturday’s game against the Steelers.

''Eddie’s fine, he ran outside today and feels pretty good,'' Fisher said. ''He is very disappointed about leaving the ball on the ground twice, but beside from that he has pretty much put it behind him.''

The Titans will return to the practice field Tuesday as they will have another light workout before getting started with preparation for Oakland on Wednesday.
