Soldier, Father-In-Law Surprised With Playoff Tickets
By Crystal Burns January 11, 2003

Two Titans fans received a nice surprise Saturday morning. Rick Urban and his son-in-law, Dusty Beam, will enjoy the Titans playoff game with the Steelers first-hand thanks to Patrick Sullivan.

Saturday morning the Titans Radio Network auctioned two club level tickets to the game. Sullivan bid $1000 to win the tickets before handing them over to Urban and Beam.

''We were on the way down to see if we could get some tickets down here,'' Urban said. My cell phone rang, and the chairman of our company, Universe Light Technologies, had made the donation and called us and said, 'Hey, do you guys have warm clothes with you?' We did, and we're ready to go.''

Son-in-law, a member of the armed forces, could be on his way to the Persian Gulf soon.

''With everything going on in the world right now, it's a possibility with the job, but we don't know,'' Beam said.

Urban and son-in-law made bold predictions for a Titans victory and expressed their appreciation for Sullivan's gift.

''We can't thank him enough,'' Urban said. ''It was a total surprise, and we're just really excited.''
