Scott Says He Plans To Play Saturday

Cornerback Chad Scott practiced Wednesday and said he plans to play Saturday against the Titans.

Scott missed Sunday's game with the Browns because of a broken thumb. The official injury report lists him as questionable.

''I’m going to play,'' Scott told Steelers.Com. ''I want to play. Nobody wants to play more than me. It’s not like I don’t want to play. I wish I could have played in the Cleveland game. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to, there was too much pain at that point in time.''

Scott said he would probably need some kind of cast to play.

''He took a few more reps than I thought he was going to,' Steelers Coach Bill Cowher said. ''He looked okay. I think at this point you realize there is no tomorrow. He wanted to be out there last week. We'll see how the week goes and we'll go from there.''
