Here's how the Titans rank against the NFL going into the playoffs:
Running back Eddie George ranks fifth in the AFC among non-kickers with 86 points.
Wide receiver Derrick Mason's 27 receptions for 335 yards on third downs ranks second and fourth respectively in the AFC.
On defense, defensive end Kevin Carter ranks tied for fourth in the AFC with 10 sacks. Defensive end Carlos Hall ranks second in the AFC and third in the NFL among all rookies with eight sacks.
Safety Lance Schulters is tied for second in the AFC with six interceptions.
The Titans defense has not allowed a 100 yard rusher in 21 consecutive home games which ranks first in the NFL.
Punter Craig Hentrich's 41.9 average on punts ranks fifth and his 28 punts inside the opponents 20 yard line ranks fourth in the AFC. Kicker Joe Nedney's nine touchbacks on kickoffs ranks fourth in the AFC.
As a team the Titans rank tied for first in the NFL in time of possession with 32:47 per game.
The Titans are 17th in the league in total offense (9th in the AFC), averaging 329.5 yards per game. The Titans are 11th in the NFL (7th in the AFC) in rushing offense, averaging 122 yards per game. Tennessee ranks 20th in the NFL (11th in the AFC) in passing offense, averaging 207.5 yards per game.
On defense, the Titans rank 10th in the NFL in total defense (5th in the AFC), allowing 310.3 yards per game. The Titans are second in the NFL (second in AFC) in rushing defense, allowing 89.0 yards per game. The Titans also rank 25th in the NFL (13th in the AFC) in passing defense, allowing 221.3 yards per game.
