Williams Receives Rookie Defender Vote
Staff Report January 6, 2003
Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers walked away with Rookie Of The Year Honors, but Titans safety Tank Williams got someone's attention.
Williams was one of five players to receive votes in the Associated Press balloting. The Stanford graduate, who started every game for the Titans, finished with 61 tackles, two sacks and an interception.
Peppers won the award following his 12-sack season. Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney finished second in the voting.
